General Terms and Conditions Kennel
Valid from 1 January 2024
These General Terms and Conditions define the conclusion, content and processing of the kennel services provided by Dogtastic Sàrl. By signing the boarding contract, or by handing your pet over to our care, you recognise our General Terms and Conditions.
The pet owner assures the boarding kennel that the animal handed over is his/her property. Each dog must be microchipped and registered with AMICUS. At the first stay, the AMICUS ID (pet card) and/or the dog tax card from the municipality must be brought along with the vaccination certificate. Animals that are not registered with AMI-CUS cannot be accepted.
For the protection of all of our accommodated dogs, we only accept vaccinated and dewormed animals. The dogs must be vaccinated annually against distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parvovirosis and kennel cough (combined vaccination plus intranasal kennel cough vaccination). The vaccinations must have been carried out no later than 14 days and no later than 1 year prior to entry into the kennel. The animal must be dewormed and have active parasite protection. Please bring your vaccination/pet passport with you for deposit. The boarding kennel can cancel the contract if the vaccination is missing. Titre tests and worm checks are accepted. Please send us the test results be-fore your stay.
The dog owner is obligated to provide all information contained in the contract truthfully. He/she also commits to informing the boarding house truthfully about all peculiarities of his/her animal, e.g. destructiveness, aggressive-ness, anxiety/phobia, illnesses, infirmities, heat, allergies or injuries as well as conditions imposed by the veterinary office. If this is not done, the owner is liable for any damage caused by the animal to the inventory, facilities or third parties. This also applies to imported diseases and the resulting costs for the treatment of other boarding dogs, additional costs for the boarding kennel, loss of revenue, etc.
The animal should be healthy and uninjured. For sick, old or injured animals, the provisions of the GTC or special agreements made apply. Any necessary medication must be brought along with written instructions on how to apply it. No liability is accepted for illnesses that occur during or after the stay at the boarding kennel.
The kennel commits to fully care for, look after and accommodate the animal entrusted to it for the agreed duration of the stay and to consult a vet in the event of illness or injury. The pet owner authorises the kennel to do so. All associated costs are to be covered by the pet owner. Transport to and from the vet will be charged at cost.
The dogs entrusted to the kennel are given the opportunity to move around several times a day in carefully organised groups. Between the active phases with play and social contact, the dogs always have time to rest and sleep. As a rule, dogs from different households are not kept together during rest periods.
If possible, we will also accept bitches in heat and socially incompatible dogs for an additional charge. These places are very limited. We cannot accept dogs that are aggressive towards people.
The accommodation price for the first stay must be paid on arrival at the latest and for all subsequent stays at the end of the accommodation period in cash, by card (except Postcard) or by Twint. For stays of more than 10 days, an advance payment of half of the pension price may be required. The prices correspond to the price list published on the Internet.
The following deadlines and fees apply to the cancellation of reservations:
up to 15 days before arrival - no charge
up to 3 days before arrival - 50 % of the total price
up to the day of arrival - 75 % of the total price
without cancellation - 100% of the total price
Dogs can only be brought or collected at agreed times. If it is not possible for the dog owner to bring or collect the dog at the agreed time, this must be communicated in good time - at least one hour before the agreed time. A drop-off and pick-up service can be provided in rare cases in accordance with the price list.
If you break off your holiday early, the animal can be collected earlier by arrangement. In the event of early collection, we will charge for the number of days as per the booking.
If the dog's stay is extended, the kennel must be informed in good time. The number of additional boarding days will be charged to the pet owner at the corresponding daily rate.
If an animal is not collected, it becomes the property of the boarding kennel 14 days after the agreed pick-up date. The boarding costs up to this point in time, as well as all costs incurred for a further placement, will be charged in full to the owner.
The invalidity of individual terms shall not affect the validity of the remaining terms.
The place of jurisdiction is Fribourg.
