Terms and Conditions – Dog Boarding

These general terms and conditions govern the conclusion, content, and execution of the services provided by Dogtastic Sàrl dog boarding. By signing the boarding contract or entrusting your animal to our care, you acknowledge and accept our terms and conditions.

The pet owner confirms that the animal entrusted to the boarding facility is their property. Every dog must be microchipped and registered with AMICUS. For the first stay, the AMICUS certificate (Pet Card) and/or the municipal dog tax certificate, along with the vaccination record, must be presented. Animals not registered with AMICUS cannot be accepted.

To protect all boarding dogs, we only accept animals that are vaccinated and dewormed. Dogs must be vaccinated annually against distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parvovirus, and kennel cough (combined vaccination plus intranasal kennel cough vaccine). Vaccinations must be administered no earlier than 14 days and no later than 1 year before entering the boarding facility. The animal must be dewormed and treated with active parasite protection. Please bring your vaccination record / pet passport for deposit. In the absence of valid vaccinations, the boarding facility reserves the right to withdraw from the contract. Titer tests and worm checks are accepted. Please submit the test results before the stay.

The dog owner agrees to provide accurate and truthful information in the contract. They also undertake to inform the boarding facility of any specific traits of their dog, such as destructive behavior, aggression, fear/phobias, illnesses, disabilities, being in heat, allergies, injuries, or any veterinary authority requirements. If such information is not disclosed, the owner shall be held liable for any damages caused by their dog to property, facilities, or other animals. This also applies to any introduced diseases and the resulting costs for treating other boarding dogs, additional expenses for the facility, loss of income, etc.

The animal should be healthy and free from injury. For sick, elderly, or injured animals, the terms of the general conditions or specific agreements apply. Any necessary medication must be provided with written instructions on administration. The boarding facility assumes no liability for illnesses that occur during or after the animal’s stay.

The boarding facility undertakes to house, care for, and look after the entrusted animal for the agreed boarding period and to consult a veterinarian in case of illness or injury. The owner grants the facility power of attorney for this purpose. All related costs are to be borne by the owner. Transportation to and from the veterinarian will be charged based on time and effort.

The dogs entrusted to our care enjoy multiple daily outings in carefully selected groups. Between active periods of play and social interaction, the dogs are given regular opportunities to rest and sleep. As a rule, dogs from different households are not housed together during rest periods.

Where possible, we also accept dogs in heat and socially incompatible dogs for an additional fee. These places are very limited. Dogs that show aggression towards humans cannot be accepted.

For the first stay, the boarding fee must be paid at the latest upon arrival. For all subsequent stays, payment is due at the end of the boarding period and can be made in cash, by card, or via Twint. For stays longer than 10 days, a prepayment of half the total fee may be required. The prices correspond to the rates published on our website.

The following deadlines and fees apply to reservation cancellations:

up to 15 days before arrival – no charge
up to 3 days before arrival – 50% of the total price
up to the day of arrival – 75% of the total price
no cancellation – 100% of the total price

Dogs may only be dropped off or picked up at the agreed times. If the owner is unable to meet the scheduled time, the facility must be informed in advance – at the latest one hour before the agreed appointment. A pick-up and drop-off service can be provided in exceptional cases, according to the price list.

In the event of an early return from vacation, the animal may be picked up earlier by prior arrangement. In such cases, the full number of days booked will still be charged as per the original reservation.

If the dog’s stay is extended, the boarding facility must be informed in advance. The additional boarding days will be charged to the owner at the applicable daily rate.

If an animal is not picked up, it becomes the property of the boarding facility 14 days after the agreed pickup date. Boarding costs up to that point, as well as any expenses related to rehoming the animal, will be fully charged to the owner.

The invalidity of individual provisions shall not affect the validity of the remaining ones.
